Armband of a Magic Crafter

(November 20, 2024) This set of silver armbands makes magical statements in Druid Akkadian. Therefore, we can assume they once belongs to a small group of Druids who traveled to western Scotland.

Translation in Akkadian (Rune Text 35.1)

(read left to right. Capital letters on object. Small letters are inferred Inner vowels. Verbs are italic bold). [ ] is the space for the image in the middle of the text lines. (Dual use letters are E/H, I/Y, U/W, and '/A in which vowel appears at beginning of words except for Yahu which is keeping its traditional Hebrew transliteration)

In English

The reference to the night is a reference to the Druid night deities of Kate/Hekate, Su, and Selu/Selene. Emotional releases are the practice of emotion magic in which focused emotions are energized and then released at the end of a ritual. The dark moon and eye pupil god Su and the celestial light goddess Selu are the source deities for emotions and motion. Kate/Hekate is the feminine life source goddess of the night and dark underworld/womb where souls reside waiting to be reborn.

The Akkadian word Mušu meaning "night powers" is the source of the English word "muse" via Old French "muser" from the 1100's CE meaning "to ponder, dream, wonder; loiter, waste time,"

The other translation reported at the history blog claims this text somehow spells out the name “Ecgbeorht.” Other than that the text on these armbands remains untranslated until now.
