Jerusalem Seals: 605 BCE Drought and Later
Clay sealings were used to seal supplies sent out from temples, often on packages bound with twine. This opportunity was taken to turn the sealings into a sort of religious news service. These stone seals (or decorative inlays) and sealings seem to have been taken from the Jerusalem temple itself and dumped into a trash pile outside the city sometime after the destruction of Jerusalem in 587 BCE.

The 50 year long Great Drought of 1180 to 1140 BCE (Iron Age 1 period) is what ended the Bronze Age and the 5-year long Elijah drought of 845-840 BCE. The yellow gives the tree pollen level while the green gives the non-tree pollen level. (Langut and Finkelsein 2013)
Droughts Defined the Archaeological Periods in the Levant
(May 3, 2023) Droughts separate the archaeological periods in the Levant. States weakened by local droughts were often subject to raids right after the droughts by Mesopotamian empires which were unaffected due to their irrigation. Below is the latest widely accepted chronology proposed by Amihai Mazar in 2014 shown below:
Droughts According to Drought Chart
- 1180-1140 BCE - Great Drought
- 980 BCE
- 845-840 BCE - Elijah Drought
- 732 BCE - led to Assyrian invasion
- 605 BCE - led to Babylonian invasion
Diagnostic Letter Shapes For Dating
- 605 BCE - "A" has square peak. "L" has hooked appendage.
- 732 BCE - "A" has pointed peak. "L" has flat appendage.

Hebrew

Magic Crafters Are Not To Blame for Drought (605 BCE)
(April 15, 2023) The image shows an Egyptian Ankh sign representing life with a winged sun disk representing the sun god Hu. The text indicates that the lack of Hu is does not affect the flow of the fertility-fluids though the life network. This flow is instead affected by purity customs.

Some Hebrew language scholars claim the text reads as follows (different letter assignments in red):
- L HZ[K]YH SG belonging to Hezekiah son of
- Z MLŠ YHR Ahaz king of Judah
This is a failed and fraudulent translation for the following reasons:
- "son" in Hebrew is BN not SG
- "Ahaz" is not just a Z
- "king" in Hebrew is MLK not MLŠ
- "Judah" is not YHR
Hezekiah or Hizkiah is spelled in four slightly different ways in the Hebrew scripture (http://www.abarim-publications.com/Meaning/Hezekiah.html)
- חזקי הו (ḪZKYHU)(Hezekiahu)
- יחזקיהו (YZKYHU) (Yehezekiahu)
- חזקיה (ḪZKYH) (Ḫezekiah) - matches word seen in Hebrew translation
- יחזקיה (YZKYHU) (Yehezekiah)

In English.
- (missing line)
- Administrators (astrological powers) are blocking Yahu
- The Revealer (Yahu) is being nourished by the [high-powers].
Previous Hebrew Translation Attempt
- (missing line)
- Of Isaiah
- Prop[het]
Hebrew word for prophet is: נביא or NBYA. So this Hebrew translation is also a possibility. The evidence to decide between the two would be from the missing top line. All that can be said is that no other Hebrew archaeological texts from this time period have yet been found. Where such claims have been made the letters are in such poor shape that their identification is extremely uncertain.

Online at: https://www.academia.edu/4786835/1997_Avigad_N_revised_and_completed_by_Sass_B_Corpus_of_West_Semitic_stamp_seals_Jerusalem Under the reign of King Nebuchadnezzar II, the Babylonian Empire spread throughout the Middle East. Around 607 BCE King Jehoiakim of Judah became a vassal to Nebuchadnezzar (2 Kings 24:1). After three years of serving Nebuchadnezzar, Jehoiakim of Judah rebelled and once again turned to Egypt for support. After sending his army to deal with Judah’s revolt, Nebuchadnezzar himself left Babylon in 598 BCE to command the army. Arriving in Jerusalem around March of 597 B.C., Nebuchadnezzar laid siege to Jerusalem and after taking control of the surrounding countryside Jerusalem surrendered. Nebuchadnezzar exiled all the leading people back to other lands leaving only the poorest people behind (2 Kings 24:8-16).
At that time Nebuchadnezzar appointed King Zedekiah to rule as his vassal but after nine years Zedekiah led Judah in rebellion against Babylon one final time (2 Kings 24–25). Influenced by false prophets and ignoring Jeremiah’s warnings, Zedekiah decided to join a coalition that was being formed by Edom, Moab, Ammon and Phoenicia in rebellion against Nebuchadnezzar (Jeremiah 27:1-3). This resulted in Nebuchadnezzar again laying siege to Jerusalem. Jerusalem fell in July 587 or 586 BC. King Zedekiah was taken captive to Babylon after seeing his sons killed before him and then having his eyes plucked out (2 Kings 25). At this time Jerusalem was laid to waste, the temple destroyed, and all the houses burned. The majority of the Jewish people were taken captive, but again, Nebuchadnezzar left a remnant of poor people to serve as farmers and vinedressers (2 Kings 25:12).
