Alpine Rock Graffiti 300 CE

Alpine Rock Text

(November 29, 2024) One of the few Cisalpine Celtic texts is written on a boulder in a tiny shelter at 2643 above sea level in the Swiss Alps (Valais Canton). The  inscription is near a Roman fortification dated to the 1st century BCE. Runic literacy spread north from the Etruscan lands.

Translation of Lines 1 and 2 in Akkadian (North Text 39)

(read right to left in the Akkadian style. Capital letters on object. Small letters are inferred Inner vowels. Verbs are italic bold. Dual use letters are E/H, I/Y, U/W, and '/A in which vowel appears at beginning of words except for Yahu which is keeping its traditional Hebrew transliteration

Their letter assignments are wrong by not being consistent with the letters found in texts near the same time and place. So not fraudulent like so many but just a normal scholarly dispute.
